A one-week formational program on Christian ethics in a changing world, sponsored by Hill House, in cooperation with Sarum College.

Christianity and Globalization

Join us at Sarum College, a Christian Study Center in beautiful and historic Salisbury, England, for a one-week formational program covering the role of Christians in engaging with the challenges of globalization in the economy, environment, politics, and culture. The seminar will be accompanied by outings to nearby Stonehenge, area museums, and the Magna Carta at Salisbury Cathedral.

$950 covers tuition, room, breakfast daily, two group dinners, outings, and transfers to/from London. Airfare to the UK is not included.

Daily Itinerary

Day One: Arrive at Heathrow, and transfer to Salisbury. Check in to Sarum College. Attend Evensong service at Salisbury Cathedral.

Day Two: Morning lecture. Afternoon outing to Stonehenge. Group dinner.

Day Three: Morning lecture. Afternoon free — visit to Old Sarum or Cathedral tour.

Day Four: Morning lecture. Afternoon outing to The Wilshire Museum, home to the Celtic Gold exhibit.

Day Five: Morning lecture. Group dinner.

Day Six: Check out of Sarum College. Transfer to London. The hotel near Heathrow is included in the program fee.

Day Seven: Return flight

Program participants are welcome to extend their stay in the UK either before or after the program.

Rev. Dr. William A. Walker III

Bill Walker, an ordained Anglican priest, is the Executive Director of Hill House at the University of Texas - Austin. Prior to Hill House, he served as the Director of Vocation at Christ Church in Austin, where he oversaw ministries in the areas of spiritual formation, faith and work, and vocational discernment. He is also a lecturer at Truett Seminary and Baylor University in theology and business ethics. Bill received his BBA from Baylor in Economics and Spanish, an MTS from Truett Seminary, and a PhD from Claremont Graduate University in philosophy of religion. Dr. Walker has taught Christian Ethics Applied to Business at Baylor University for the past six years and has published several works in the field of theological ethics, including his 2020 book on the doctrine of salvation in the age of globalization.
